Anthony
Vincent Bova, a renowned New York City acting coach, has
taught in the Big Apple since 1979. He is the Artistic
Director of Ionica Theater, where he heads the
Bova Actors Workshop,
as well as Business Performance Advantage Inc. / The Bova
Communication System. He is a member of the National
Speakers Association, Toastmasters International, Screen
Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association.
Anthony is
a Master Teacher of Acting and Communications. He as taught
at such elite acting schools as the Tisch School of the Arts
at NYU, the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and H.B.
Studios. At the New York Film Academy, Anthony taught
directors how to direct actors. While teaching at Tufts
University, he conducted an executive coaching case study.
As the
exclusive New York instructor and East Coast authority of
the
Eric Morris System
of acting since 1993, Anthony began to notice a trend of
success with clients from the world of private enterprise.
As a result, he created Business Performance Advantage Inc.
/ The Bova Communication System. The Bova Communication
System utilizes acting techniques and exercises to remove
obstacles to effective communication for business
professionals.
Professionals from Broadway to Wall Street have gravitated
to his classes, responding to his personalized and practical
approach. This approach trains business professionals to
express themselves with clarity, authenticity, confidence,
passion and most importantly, the ability to connect to
others. He has gained a reputation for "blueprinting" his
clients' communication processes and enabling them to
overcome communication obstacles.
Anthony is
an accomplished executive coach, actor, acting instructor
and writer. He recently authored the chapter "True Acting"
in Healing Tales: The Narrative Arts in Spiritual Tradition,
being released in the Spring of 2008. This chapter explores
the residual healing effects his work has on people's lives.
Dr. Guerriero,
a former two-sport Division I athlete in college and
Academic All-American, received her doctorate in educational
administration at New York University while only in her
twenties. Her ongoing research is the policy agenda of the
New York City public schools. She has worked in a variety of
policy advisement capacities in the New York City political
scene, including Senior Education Policy Advisor for one of
the recent Mayoral candidates. She remains active in the NYC
political scene and grassroots activist organizations, but
also in her academic pursuits. Presently, she is writing
multiple manuscripts focusing on the policy agenda of NYC
public schools. She also teaches several graduate courses at
Teachers College, Columbia University.
Dr. Guerriero's high energy, charisma and consummate New
York delivery, have made her a hit on the public speaking
circuit. She has also held a variety of positions, including
sports reporter at a NYC newspaper and marketing executive
for a major pharmaceutical company, that have honed her
communication skills. Since her late teens, she has been
active as a keynote/featured speaker. Today, her talks range
from the general motivational topics of Goal Setting, Career
Mapping, and Achieving Excellence to the more specific
topics of client-related issues, concerns or challenges.
